Power Grid Civils were contracted to carry out the installation of a foundation for NIE`s second ever Mono Pole OHL structure. This is the first to be carried out in an urban area with domestic buildings surrounding the structure. The original timber pole structure was sitting on the boundary of two properties with one pole in one garden and one in the other. Access was through one of the grantors front gates to the back of his property. Our team cast a 5m x 5m base with holding down bolts cast in the pedestal and reinstated the gardens back to the grantor’s requirements
